Monthly Meeting change

-Our next regular monthly meeting will be held on April 15, 2026 will be held in town at a new location. We will be meeting at the Merritt Senior Centre, 1675 Tuttill Ct by the museum.   

Range Closures:  

May 8, 2026 there will be a High School Rodeo shooting event held at the Range. It will take over the Big Bore range and will be held in the middle of the day for a few hours including set up and take down. As this is a Friday, we don't anticipate much inpact to shooters who want to use the range. 

June 13/14, 2026, we will be hosting a large number of shooters who wish to complete their final preperations for a shooting event. Use of the range(s) will be heavy, and we suggest scheduling your time around this weekend as most benches could potentially have a waiting list for use just with this group alone.  Not a closure, but a time of heavy use and potentially long waits for anyone wanting to go shoot. 

 July 25/26, 2026 the range will be closed for a shooting event. There will be some set up required on the 24th as well, so there will be limited use of the range for the morning of the 24th. 

Work bee(s)- The next work bee will be held on Sunday April 12, 2026. The range will be closed as these scheduled work bees goes on. As soon as the various ranges are completed they can be opened for member's use after a safety meeting. There will be a schedule work bee the second sunday of each month and all members are encouraged to come out and help improve our range. Not only for the $10 off your next membership, but for pride in your club and to see improvements to the range. Failing that, maybe a free lunch with bottled water and coffee may make up some of your minds to attend. 

-The projects to be worked on are as follows:

-General range clean up

-Shooting backstops replacement/maintenance

-Permiter fence sign inspection and maintenance

-Clubhouse tidy and filing cabinet moving

-Garbage cleanup and disposal

-Shooting shed maintenance as required

-Permiter fencing completion of upgrades
